75 new Kögel Cargo Light for HEINLOTH – the logistic experts

HEINLOTH (Hall A5, Stand 323) receives its 75th Kögel Cargo Light on time for the transport logistics 2013 fair
Burtenbach, 29th May 2013
The HEINLOTH Transport GmbH & Co. KG, based in Roth near Nuremberg, a old and loyal customer of Kögel, continues to depend on Kögel's proven quality. As an addition to the more than 350 Kögel trailers already in its fleet, HEINLOTH recently took delivery of 75 new Kögel Cargo Light trailers. On the occasion of transport logistic 2013 has been specially electronically labelled in honour of the occasion of transport logistic 2013 as well as for the launch of the corporate identity of the internationally oriented forwarding and logistics group of companies. This "Head-turner trailer", like all other new Kögel trailers will be soon on the move in the LTL/FTL business all over Europe. The Light Trailer are particularly of interest to member companies of HEINLOTH – the logistic experts due to their low tare weight and robust chassis. The Kögel Cargo offers a low tare weight, a large capacity and a fifth-wheel load of twelve tonnes. The empty trailer with its basic equipment tips the scales at approx. 5,200 kilogrammes. It is thus particularly economical on the road and addresses the ever stricter rules on truck weights. The light-weight frame is designed to carry 35 tonnes. The Cargo is a total of 13,950 millimetres long and 2,550 millimetres wide. Frame using light-weight construction techniques
The chassis frame made in steel using a lightweight construction, is optimised to carry more payload and is fitted out with a coupling plate with 2-inch kingpins. Its excellent stability despite the sparing use of materials in its construction is ensured through the use of high-quality finely grained steels. Thanks to criss-crossing beams, the payload is spread out evenly over the loading platform, thus making the floor load capacity well able for forklift axle loads. As with all Kögel vehicles for the forwarding industry, the entire vehicle frame on the Kögel Cargo Light has long-term corrosion protection provided by nano cathodic dip-paint coating and subsequent painting. HEINLOTH specialist fittings
For maximum load-securing, there are 13 pairs of lashing rings, each with 2000 kilogram of tensile force, set into the Vario-Fix perforated steel external frame. Naturally, the Cargo Light models have the DIN EN 12642 XL load-securing certificate. Where requested, the trailers are also equipped with 600 millimetre-high depressions to hold five vertically arranged cargo securing latts. Another row of steel cargo-securing latts serve as combination anchoring rods to which two telescopic aluminium load-securing beams can be attached to provide load-securing for partial loads. In addition, the trailers are fitted with RoRo equipment, with four pairs of heavy-duty lashing rings conforming to DIN EN 29367-2, for driver-accompanied marine and ferry transport.
