HEINLOTH - Logistics services according to IFS standards for the food industry
In the context of the corporate philosophy of a sustainable and strategic orientation - and in accordance with the motto just.clever.solutions - HEINLOTH Kontraktlogistik GmbH successfully confirmed the food standards that have been implemented and practised for a long time with the initial certification according to IFS Logistics 2.3 in October of this year.
“With the IFS Logistic 2.3 certification - in addition to the EU-BIO certification - we are expanding our existing integrated quality management systems and emphatically confirming our quality promise as ‘the logistic experts’ for logistics services in the areas of warehousing and value-added services across the entire supply chain”, explains Sebastian Prinzing (quality manager at HEINLOTH).
The commitment to responsible, professional and qualified action - taking into account the highest possible food hygiene and food safety - is consistently pursued by all areas of the company and enables the best possible quality and cost-effectiveness.
“The audit confirmed that we have managed to successfully and sustainably implement all requirements in our daily administrative and operational processes,” says Patrick Schmer (manager operations at HEINLOTH). "This allows us to recognise risks and opportunities at an early stage and guarantee product safety.”

The IFS Logistics Standard covers all logistics processes for food and non-food products in the food industry. It assesses the quality and safety of logistics activities and covers transport, storage, distribution, order picking and much more. The standardised and independent assessment system is used to ensure transparency and compatibility within the entire supply chain and to strengthen the trust of the business partners and customers involved. The focus here is on food hygiene, food safety, product safety, the qualifications of the people involved, risk assessment, the continuous improvement process and traceability.
